Born and bred in Norfolk, I’ve lived in Burnham Overy Staithe for most of my life—and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. There’s something truly special about waking up to the salt air and watching the tides shift across the creek. Most mornings, you’ll find me walking my two spaniels along the footpath to the beach—it’s one of the best walks on the coast, especially when the wildflowers are out or the tide’s coming in.
I’ve worked in marine carpentry and coastal conservation, and I’m proud to help guests discover the quieter side of North Norfolk—whether it’s crabbing off the quay, kayaking past the windmill, or just grabbing a pint at the Hero after a day out. Our cottage is right near the coastal path and within walking distance of some brilliant birdwatching spots and that unspoilt beach that only the locals really know how to reach.
Whether you’re here for a weekend escape or a longer stay, I hope this place gives you the same sense of peace and connection to nature that it’s always given me.
